To bring out the best in every child, making each of them excellent, outstanding, relevant and significant in all they do. To breed God- fearing and disciplined leaders in every sphere of life, to excel in the ever-dynamic world, and be relevant and productive to the society.

To be an outstanding educational institution in Nigeria, reputed for excellence, relevant learning, teaching and providing world- class quality education.

We instil integrity, dignity, discipline, compassion, respect for selves, fellow individuals and existing authorities. We emphasise student-centered learning, stakeholding principle, self-advocacy, individuality and uniqueness. We encourage conscientious pursuit of all-round excellence, self-development and learning without borders. We promote diversity, accountability, adaptability, leadership and sense of community.

Our curriculum is based on a reasonable combination of Montessori and the traditional methods. This has given us a good standing which enables our pupils to do well wherever they find themselves in the future.

There are schools and indeed there are schools. The quest to provide world –class quality education that lasts a lifetime gave birth to a new world of delightful and impactful learning experience dubbed “Adeoye International Group of Schools”. Our Creche, KG, Nursery, Primary and College are right choices for parents, who hope to give their children a lifelong legacy. We believe every child is a bundle of potentials, which must not only be respected, but also appreciated. Our Management is a team of seasoned professionals, who leave no stone unturned to formulate and implement policies and programmes that unlock and exploit the potentials in every child. Our resilient and dedicated educators are products of top-rated public universities in Nigeria and beyond. They are continuously trained and re-trained to employ cutting-edge methods and techniques, which bring out the best in every child. Located in the choicest parts of Ota, one of the notable cities in Ogun, Nigeria’s Gateway State, our serene environment offers an interesting opportunity for learning and self-actualisation. Welcome on board a world of difference with limitless possibilities!

Happiness is more important than success.

13th Sept, 2023 By Admin 69k 733

Can happiness make you more successful? Yes. As we become happier, we become more successful. Our brains operate better when we are in a positive mind state instead of a mood of negativity or stressed. Happiness helps us increase our problem-solving skills, helps us become more creative, and improves our thinking, remembering, and decision making.
Happy people take control of their lives and emotions. They don’t take things for granted. They don’t complain. They don’t focus on the negative.

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” — Albert Schweitzer, a philosopher, musician, and missionary
According to Sonja Lyubomirsky in her book, The Happiness Diet, 40% of our happiness is within our control. Also, research shows happy people are successful in their life, work, and health. Yet, happiness is subjective, based on how you define it, and happiness can sometimes be difficult to measure.

We should ban the use of fossil fuels.

Time is running out to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and avoid catastrophic climate change. The 2018 special report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) “suggests a remaining budget of about 420 Gigatonnes (Gt) of CO2 for a two-thirds chance of limiting warming to 1.5°C.” The clock on this so-called remaining carbon budget started ticking at the beginning of 2018.
Despite this stark warning, the world keeps emitting over 40 Gt of CO2 per year. In other words, the policy instruments that are currently being used across the globe to reduce CO2 emissions aren’t working. It is therefore time to ban fossil fuels.

Since we have already drawn down over 120 Gt of CO2 from this carbon budget, we have now less than 300 Gt left. Combining the proved fossil fuel reserves reported in British Petroleum’s Statistical Review of World Energy with CO2 emission factors from the IPCC yields 3,600 Gt of CO2 emissions.
This means that we can only afford to burn one twelfth of the fossil fuels we have already found. And this does not account for any greenhouse gas emissions from the ongoing melting of permafrost. The Arctic region alone is estimated to have 1,500 Gt of carbon stored in its soils, some of which is already being converted to CO2 by microbes and released into the atmosphere. Twice before we managed to mitigate a severe global environmental threat. In both cases we did this with the help of bans. Not with cap and trade systems, not with taxes, not with offsets, not with capture and sequestration, but with bans.

Homework has little educational worth and adds nothing to the time spent in school. Some schools and some countries don’t bother with homework at all, and their results do not seem to suffer from it. Studies show that homework adds nothing to standardised test scores for primary/ elementary pupils.
International comparisons of older students have found no positive relationship between the amount of homework set and average test scores. If anything, countries with more homework got worse results!

No Because

Homework is a vital and valuable part of education. There are only a few hours in each school day – not enough time to cover properly all the subjects children need to study. Setting homework extends study beyond school hours, allowing a wider and deeper education. It also makes the best use of teachers, who can spend lesson time teaching rather than just supervising individual work that could be done at home. Tasks such as reading, writing essays, researching, doing maths problems, etc. are best done at home, away from the distractions of other students.
